About the Festival
Last December, Chichester Cathedral and its historic Bell Tower will become the beating heart of a city-wide celebration — a Festival of Light that fuses creativity, technology and community spirit.
Produced by Make Amplify, the award-winning creative studio behind The Grand Bug Hotel and Crawley Lights Up, Let It Glow will illuminate not only the skyline but the soul of Chichester itself.
Each evening from 8–21 December, light projections, soundscapes and immersive experiences will transform the city centre. But the real story begins much earlier — in classrooms, cafés, and community spaces where local people will come together to create the art that lights up their city.

Why It Matters
This is about more than light. It’s about letting our communities glow and grow — illuminating the creativity that already lives in Chichester’s schools, community hubs, and neighbourhoods.
Through hands-on workshops led by Make Amplify, children, families and residents will design digital artworks that will dance across the Cathedral walls this winter. When people see their ideas projected larger than life, something powerful happens: confidence grows, connection deepens, and pride in place ignites.
Creativity is the golden thread that sews our city together — weaving light through people, places, and possibility. It builds connection where there was distance, hope where there was hesitation, and pride where there was quiet potential.
